CBSE to conduct orientation session for Principals on UNESCO Health and Wellness Programme

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is implementing School Health and Wellness Programme in its affiliated schools, in collaboration with UNESCO. CBSE is going to conduct its second Orientation session for Principals of CBSE Schools in collaboration with UNESCO to empower the teachers in each School as Health and Wellness promoters.

Based on the resource materials provided by CBSE, NCERT and UNESCO, Wellness Promoters will conduct the promotion activities in schools to improve the health and well-being of school-going children at various levels.

Details of the orientation programme:

Date for the online session: 10.07.2023
Time: 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM (IST).
Mode: Online

Target Audience: All Principals of CBSE affiliated schools
The attendance link shall be shared in live streaming description during the orientation sessions the attendance link can be accessed by @cbseshiksha.in email id only.

Earlier CBSE has conducted orientation sessions for Principals in the year 2022 and 2023. In those orientation sessions for Principals of CBSE affiliated schools, around 400 Master Trainers have been trained by UNESCO at NCERT, New Delhi in August 2022 and May 2023.

CBSE has also developed and delivered a 2-days Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on School Health and Wellness and notified vide Circular No. TRG-142/2022 dated 17/11/2022. A good number of Programmes have been conducted by the CoEs across the Country.

CBSE has notified all its affiliated schools about this orientation programme for Principals, through circular no. TRG- 80/2023 dated 5 July 2023.
