This character was played by actor Mukesh Tiwari. There are very few actors who leave their mark in a side role in their first film itself. And Mukesh Tiwari has been one of those actors. Mukesh Tiwari made his acting debut with 'China Gate' and became famous for the character of Jagira played in it. Later, Mukesh Tiwari gained a lot of popularity by becoming 'Vasuli Bhai'. The character of Vasuli Bhai played by him in Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal' made Mukesh Tiwari famous in every household. But Mukesh Tiwari never had so much money that he could come to Mumbai to become an actor. Today, he is not only earning a lot of name and money, but is also bearing the expenses of education of needy children.
Born in an ordinary family, Mukesh Tiwari was a cricketer
Mukesh Tiwari was born in a very ordinary family in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. No one in the family had any connection with acting. His father died in his childhood, after which his mother raised him alone and also took care of the family. His mother wanted Mukesh Tiwari to study quickly and get a job and take care of the household responsibilities. Mukesh Tiwari was also busy with his studies. When he was in college, he got addicted to cricket. During his college days, Mukesh Tiwari played cricket in Under-12, Under-15 and Under-19.
A play from his college days changed his life
But once he saw a play with his friend, the direction of his life and career changed. Mukesh Tiwari once dreamed of becoming a cricketer. But when he secretly saw a play with his friend, he decided that he would now do something in this field. He would definitely become a hero one day. But Mukesh Tiwari's family members would explain to him that there was nothing in acting. Go and do some job. But Mukesh Tiwari was obsessed with becoming a hero and acting. Due to this passion, Mukesh Tiwari joined an orchestra group. Mukesh Tiwari used to go to different places with orchestra group and used to do small shows.
When he got embarrassed after a show, his family gave him courage
Once Mukesh Tiwari decided to call his family to one such small show. He was expecting that a huge crowd would gather in his show. Many people would come to see his play. But only 14 people came. Mukesh Tiwari had told about this in an interview that only 14-18 people came to see the show, half of whom were from his family and some from the neighbourhood. Mukesh Tiwari was very embarrassed. He felt that now his family members have got a chance to scold and taunt him.
He was rejected from NSD, but did not lose courage
Mukesh Tiwari did not have the courage to go home. Somehow he reached home secretly, his mother was sitting in the dark in a corner. She praised Mukesh Tiwari. His brother also gave courage to Mukesh Tiwari. But at the same time advised that if he wanted to become a hero, he should take training and go to films, he should not go just like that. Then Mukesh Tiwari filled the form for admission in National School of Drama. But he was rejected. Mukesh Tiwari was rejected because he did not know the meaning of the word 'improvisation'. Mukesh Tiwari returned to his village Sagar. He did not lose courage and filled the form for NSD again. Before filling the form, he read many books related to the world of films and acting in the library. Mukesh Tiwari got selected in NSD and he joined the world of theatre.
Mukesh Tiwari entered films from this theatre world. Actor Naseeruddin Shah had seen Mukesh Tiwari in a play and called him from Mumbai for the film 'China Gate'. Mukesh Tiwari was signed for the role of dreaded Jagira in 'China Gate'. From here Mukesh Tiwari's luck changed and he did many films. Mukesh Tiwari's film journey is still going on. Let us tell you that when Mukesh Tiwari got a call from Mumbai for a film, he did not even have enough money to catch a train and go to Mumbai. Mukesh Tiwari himself revealed this in an interview. Mukesh Tiwari then borrowed some money from the villagers and went to Mumbai. Apart from films, Mukesh Tiwari is also doing good work. Mukesh Tiwari has borne the school fees of two children in the building where he lives. Apart from this, Mukesh Tiwari has also taken up the responsibility of educating some children of his village, which is commendable.
